  1. Has it been your birthday while we have not been at school Amber?
I love your glasses, they make me smile. Rainbows are very cool. Do you look at the rainbows when they are in the sky to see all the colours?

  2. Hi Amber
Those glasses would go with any outfit, as they are so colourful! I think that if you were feeling a bit sad, these glasses would help cheer you up, by just putting them on. I am sure if I had these glasses, they would make me smile every time I put them on! Do you smile when you put these glasses on Amber?

  3. Hi Amber- a big happy 8th birthday to you! I have had my birthday at home at lockdown time too. I hope you had a very special day. Your glasses match your t-shirt as all the colours on that are on your rainbow glasses. Are you reading lots of books while you are at home? I am and I can't wait until the library in town is open again because they have lots of great books to read. Do you go there sometimes?

  4. Kia ora Amber,
Wow, eight years old already? A big happy birthday to you!
It is so exciting to be able to see the mask that you got for your birthday, and I really like how the mask is in the shape of glasses. The rainbow over top of the glasses is so cool, and it almost looks as though you have this rainbow as your eyebrows!
Is the mask comfortable to wear?
How does it stay on your face without falling off?
Have you let anyone else have a go at wearing it?
It would be awesome if you could reply to this comment and let me know!
Birthdays are such fun days filled with tons of excitement. Whenever there is a birthday in my household, we bake a big cake and cook a special dinner to celebrate.
My brother and sister (who are twins) had their birthday during this lockdown period so I baked a vanilla sponge cake with blueberry compote and whipped cream, and our dad cooked a big roast to have for dinner.
What kind of things did you do to celebrate your birthday?
Did you get to have a cake? If so, which flavour was it?
Did you get any special birthday cards from anyone?
Keep blogging Amber, you’re doing great!

    2. Kia ora Amber,
Thank you for replying to my comment and answering all of the questions that I had!
The mask sounds so cool, and I really like how it was string that you used to tie it around your face.
Was it definitely string, or do you think it could have been elastic?
You mentioned how your mask came in a pack. Were they all rainbows, or did some have different designs?
If so, what were the designs?
You also mentioned how you all wore masks and took pictures. What kind of poses did you pull?
It would be awesome if you could let me!
Party food is delicious, and if I could eat it everyday I would! Fairy bread, cupcakes, pies and veggie sticks and hummus are all some of my favourite party foods.
What kind of foods did you have at your party?
I also really enjoy eating the birthday cake, and in your blogpost here you mentioned how for your birthday you got a chocolate cake.
      How was the cake decorated?
      Who made the cake?
      Was it yummy?
      Keep blogging!
      Nga mihi
